Yes β that's the entire model. We turn up at your address with a fully equipped service vehicle, do the work in your driveway, and leave you with a written report. No towing, no drop-offs, no two-week workshop wait.
For routine servicing and most common repairs, functionally identical. The technicians have the same qualifications, the equipment is the same calibre, and the work is documented to the same standard. Some major structural and chassis work still requires workshop equipment β for those rare cases, we'll be straight with you.
RV Now is a modern operator built around a mobile-first model. The team have been working on caravans for many years collectively β we're new as a brand but not new to the industry.
Caravans (single, dual, triple-axle), pop-tops, camper trailers, motorhomes, hybrid campers, and most fifth-wheelers. From entry-level to fully off-grid premium builds. If you're not sure, ask.
Booking & scheduling
Getting on our calendar.
Either through our online booking form (fastest, most accurate) or by phone on 1300 4 RV NOW. The form captures all the info we need to schedule properly; phone is great for quick questions or unusual situations.
Most metro bookings are scheduled within 3-5 business days of you submitting. Urgent and emergency requests are prioritised β we'll be straight with you on the timeline when you book.
Generally yes, at least at the start so we can confirm what you'd like done. For follow-up visits or work where you've already approved everything, we can sometimes work without you present if access is arranged.
Easy. Just call or email us at least 24 hours ahead and we'll move you to the next available slot. No fees for genuine reschedules.
Yes, with permission from the park. Most parks are fine with onsite servicing β let us know on booking and we'll coordinate access details.
Pricing & payment
How it works financially.
For diagnostic-only visits, yes β a flat callout fee that's clearly stated upfront. If you proceed with repair work, the diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair cost. For booked services (standard service, alignment, weighing, etc.), there's no separate callout fee β travel is included in the service price for metro areas.
Card on the spot via mobile EFTPOS, bank transfer same-day, or business invoice on terms for fleet customers. We'll email a tax invoice immediately after the work.
No. We quote upfront for everything before any work proceeds. If we find unexpected issues during the work, we stop and quote them separately β you decide whether to proceed. No surprise charges, ever.
Not currently. Most caravan service work is sub-$2,000 and customers pay cash/card. For larger repairs (insurance work, major upgrades), we can sometimes arrange staged payments by direct arrangement.
Service area
Where we work.
Adelaide metropolitan area and within a 90km radius. That includes the Adelaide Hills, Gawler, Mount Barker, Strathalbyn, Murray Bridge, the Barossa Valley, and Victor Harbor.
Yes β we run scheduled regional service days across most of South Australia each month. Riverland, Yorke Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula, the South East, and Clare Valley are typical regions. Get in touch and we'll let you know when we're next near you.
Yes, anywhere within our service area. We attend caravan parks regularly β for both private bookings and emergencies. Let us know the park name on booking.
Not currently β we're focused on South Australia. We'll be expanding into other states over the coming years. In the meantime, if you're an SA-based customer travelling and have an issue interstate, call us β we can often help by phone or refer you to a trusted operator.
Technical & qualifications
Trade & licensing.
Yes. Our technicians hold the relevant trade qualifications for the work they perform β including gas fitting licences for gas certification work, automotive electrical for 12V/solar systems, and general caravan servicing experience. We can provide credentials on request.
Yes β public liability insurance covers all onsite work. Our service vehicles are also insured for both the equipment they carry and any work performed at customer locations.
Yes. Licensed gas pressure tests and certification compliant with AS/NZS 5601.2. The certificate is emailed to you after the work.
Yes. We work directly with most major caravan manufacturers on warranty repairs. We can do the assessment, document the issue, perform the repair, and submit for reimbursement.
Yes β we're approved by the major caravan and RV insurers. We can quote, repair, and bill insurers directly for approved claims.
Emergencies
When things go wrong.
Not in the strict roadside-assistance sense β we operate within our service hours (Mon-Fri 7:30am-7pm, Sat 8am-5pm, Sun 10am-5pm). Outside those hours we run a phone triage and can usually still help by morning. For genuine middle-of-the-night emergencies on a remote highway, your roadside assistance is the right first call.
Within Adelaide metro and during open hours: 2-3 hours typical for genuine emergencies. Outside metro: same-day or next-morning depending on travel. Outside our service area: phone advice and referral.
First β get to safety. Pull off if you can. Call your roadside assistance for towing or recovery if needed. Then call us β we'll triage what's wrong and figure out the best repair path. We can often coordinate the long-term fix even if we can't be the immediate response.
